The problem is, we don’t have time to make time for our lives. We are all too busy doing things that we feel are important. But, if we do not make time for our lives, what will happen?

Our lives are like a big ocean with waves of activity coming at us from all directions. Some of these waves are very big and some are small. If we do not have a lifeguard, we will drown. The question is, “Do we want to be a lifeguard or do we want to drown?”

So, how do we make time for our lives? First, we must realize that we can’t just wish it into existence. We have to make time for our lives and this is how:

1) Prioritize.

What do you really want to do with your life? Are you willing to sacrifice other things to make time for your life? For example, if you want to travel, then you may have to give up other things such as watching television or playing video games.

2) Take action.

If you want to get out of debt, then you need to take action. You need to decide what you will do and then you need to take action to get it done. You cannot sit around wishing that you had the money to pay off your credit cards. You need to start making the payments. You need to decide what steps you are going to take and then take them.

3) Plan.

We need to plan ahead. This means planning our schedule. We need to set aside certain times in our day for specific activities. Then we need to make sure that we stick to that schedule.
